Carers' Groups
Connect with other carers of Autistic young people in a neuro-affirming, supportive environment.
Carers’ Groups run simultaneously to our Youth Peer Groups, with the exception of our Mount Gravatt Parents’ Group – an independent discussion group, led by parents and carers. These groups offer an opportunity to connect with other carers and supporters of Autistic people in your area, to share experiences and support each other.
Guest speakers are periodically invited to present information about services and supports relevant to each group.
What if I my child doesn't attend a Youth Peer Group?
If you would like to join a Carers’ Group, but do not have a child attending the associated Youth Peer Group, you still have a few options!
Parents and carers who do not have a child attending our Youth Group are welcome to attend with a small cost of $15.00 per session to assist with expenses.Â
We also host an independent Parents’ Group at Mount Gravatt, led by carers in our community. This group is a discussion group which meets monthly over coffee, to build connections and support one another.

This groups runs independent of our Youth Peer Groups and is led by parents and carers in our community.
When: The last Friday of each month, from 9:30am-11:30am
