We try our best to match our mentors with you, based on employment goals and shared interests.
All of our mentors are a friendly and enthusiastic humans, who have been trained in Autism-affirming employment support practices. Mentors typically hold a background in social work or psychology and are often Autistic or neurodivergent themselves.
We recommend holding sessions in shared community spaces in an area that is easily accessible to you. Generally this means a local community space, such as a library, community centre, university campus, or even a local café.
Community sessions can benefit your mentoring experience by:
- Helping build confidence in communal spaces
- Giving opportunities to practice responding the change and unexpectancy
- Identifying social barriers as they arise
Sessions can also be hosted at our office in Stafford until you are comfortable moving your sessions to the community.
