Young Adults
Peer Groups
Connect with other Autistic people in an inclusive, welcoming space.
Transitioning into adulthood and navigating the world as a young Autistic person can be both exciting and daunting. Empower Autism’s Young Adult Peer Groups are safe, inclusive spaces for Autistic people aged from 17 to 25 years old to express themselves authentically, develop social connections, and feel valued for who they are.
We host several Young Adult Peer Groups around the Greater Brisbane Area, which are supported by experienced volunteer coordinators with Autistic lived experience. While each group is structured uniquely to match the needs and interests of its members, meetings often include optional activities such as crafts, board games and trivia that provide frameworks for connection, and support you to share stories, talk through challenges and have fun.
